public feed order

Ranking

The public index can remain chronological or use a deterministic ranked order. These sliders are the actual coefficients, half-lives, caps, and grace-period values used by your feed.

Author reputation, administrator status, and editor authority contribute exactly zero.

Feed order

Latest orders posts by publication time. Ranked calculates the formula below using your saved values.

Exact calculation

rank = Σ(normalized coefficient × component) + unrated-post bonus

The five ranking coefficients are normalized by their sum. Their entered values therefore express their exact relative influence; they do not need to total 100.

post recency = 2 ^ (-post age hours / post half-life hours)
comment recency = 2 ^ (-comment age hours / comment half-life hours)
rating confidence = min(1, distinct post raters / confidence saturation)

Post reputation is the post's own active, positive-coefficient reputation dimensions normalized to 0–1. It is not the author's accumulated reputation.

Recent comments are capped per user, limited to the configured lookback window, and decayed individually. The author's own comments use the configured author-comment multiplier.

The unrated-post bonus is additive, bounded by its maximum percentage, and falls linearly to zero over the configured grace period.
